This Week at Develomark: Big E Visits and Site Builds in CT

Develomark • September 19, 2026

It was another full week for the Develomark team, with stops across Connecticut and beyond that ranged from a fairground booth at the Big E to careers day planning at a local pest control company. In between, our design team kept pushing forward on some of our most ambitious site builds yet. Here's a look at what the week involved.

1. On-Site With Our Connecticut Clients

Some of the best marketing content comes from actually being where the work happens, and this week had our team out at several client locations. We stopped by ProSource Pest Solutions to plan an upcoming careers day shoot, aimed at attracting new talent to the brand — and couldn't resist a few fun photos in front of the office's pest-themed wall art while we were there.

We also spent time at the Law Offices of Pat Brown, filming brand overview video content for their new website. Video like this helps a firm's website feel less like a static page and more like an actual introduction to the people behind it, which matters for any service business but especially for one built on trust.

M Sport Motorwerx: A Full Day of Video

Our founder, Ruan, spent time on-site at M Sport Motorwerx, standing in front of one of his favorite builds in the shop — an E30 M3 — while our team captured seven separate videos in a single day. Automotive clients tend to have some of the most visually compelling inventory available, and days like this are how we keep a steady stream of fresh video content flowing across their site and social channels.

Lights, Camera, Local Business

We also wrapped a video advertising shoot featuring newly cast actors for a vineyard client and a restaurant client. Both shoots got some extra attention on social this week, which is always a nice bonus when the on-camera talent and the location come together well.

2. Design and Development Sprints Continue

Not every part of the week happened out in the field. Our design team kept moving on several in-progress builds, including a new client site where Annalise Cook spent time reviewing feedback before moving into building out the full set of pages. That review step matters — catching structural or content notes before pages get built saves everyone rework later.

Sign Pro: Our Most Ambitious Build Yet

Lauren Mahoney and Damion Morgan sat down together to review a page build for Sign Pro, which has quickly become the highest-effort website Develomark has taken on to date. Projects like this take longer for a reason — more custom layout work, more attention to detail, and more rounds of internal review before anything goes live.

3. On the Road: The Big E and a New Local Collaboration

Our founder Ruan M. Marinho, Ava R. Creto, and the Develomark Fall Cohort made a visit to the Big E to check out the booth belonging to our favorite Ellington, CT clients, Earthlight Technologies. While there, our team also captured short-form discovery content around the booth — the kind of on-the-ground footage that performs well across social and helps a brand feel present at the events that matter to its community.

Closer to home, Ava and Gina Sicard have been talking through an upcoming collaboration between a local salon in our network and Develomark, called Pilates and Porches. Details are still coming together, but it's a fun example of how our local business relationships sometimes turn into projects that go beyond the usual scope of work.

Behind the Scenes in Plantsville

Emily K. Armbruster has also been heads-down updating the floor plan for our own office ahead of a launch planned for January. Between the decor changes and rethinking how foot traffic moves through the space, there's still plenty of work ahead — but it's shaping up to be a meaningful upgrade to how our office functions day to day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of on-site work does Develomark do for clients?

It depends on the client and the goal. Some visits are focused on video and photo content, like brand overview videos or product shoots. Others are working sessions for strategy, page reviews, or event coverage — like our visit to the Big E.

Why does Develomark prioritize video content for clients?

Video tends to perform well across a website, social media, and increasingly in AI-generated search results. It also gives potential customers a clearer sense of who they'd actually be working with, which matters for service businesses built on trust.

How long does a custom website build typically take at Develomark?

It varies significantly by scope. A highly custom build, like the Sign Pro site currently in progress, involves more design review cycles and page-level detail than a standard site, which naturally extends the timeline in exchange for a more distinctive final product.

Real Work, Every Week

Whether the team is on the road, in the Plantsville office, or filming content for a client three states away at the Big E, the goal stays consistent: real content, real strategy, and real results for the local businesses we work with.
