This Week at Develomark: Connstep Summit and a Site Launch
Here's what happened this week at Develomark — a mix of manufacturing industry insight, a client website launch, cohort growth, and a couple of on-site visits that reminded us why we love this work.
1. Learning From Manufacturing Leaders at the Connstep CEO Summit
Our founder, Ruan, spent the day at the Connstep CEO Summit, where he led a session on the state of AI for manufacturing. Connecticut's manufacturing sector has been one of our specialty verticals for a while now, and events like this are a good reminder of how fast AI-driven search and automation are changing the way manufacturers get found by buyers.
Beyond the session itself, Ruan spent time connecting with manufacturing leaders from across the state, including Bill from Novo Precision, Richard from Modelcraft, and Sam from Earthlight Technologies — one of our longtime Ellington, CT clients. Conversations like these help shape how we think about AEO and digital strategy for manufacturing clients more broadly, not just the businesses we already work with.
2. GoodLooks Auto Spa Goes Live
One of the bigger milestones this week: the new GoodLooks Auto Spa website officially launched. Getting a site from build to live involves a lot of last-mile work — final QA passes, post-launch edits, and a full walkthrough of the launch process — and our team spent time getting all of it right before flipping the switch.
Our Fall cohort also got to see this kind of work firsthand, visiting the GoodLooks Auto Spa location in person to film promotional content on-site. Getting cohort members out of the office and in front of an actual client location is part of how we make sure the training goes beyond theory.
3. Cohort Program Keeps Building Momentum
Our Fall 2026 cohort has been moving quickly, and this week added a couple of new milestones to the list. Learn more about the cohort program here: https://cohort.develomark.com/
Building Their First Social Media Strategy
The cohort put together their first social media strategy from scratch this week and presented it back to the team. Learning to think strategically about content, not just produce it, is a big part of what separates a marketer who can execute from one who can also plan.
Ruan Teaching Advanced AEO
Ruan also sat down with the cohort to teach a session on advanced Answer Engine Optimization and digital marketing skills, building on the fundamentals they'd already covered. AEO is central to how Develomark approaches every client account, so getting the cohort comfortable with it early is a priority.
A Familiar Face Around the Office
On a lighter note, one of our cohort members, Chelsea, brought her dog Ranger into the office this week — a nice reminder that even in a fast-moving agency, there's room for a good office dog cameo.
4. On the Road With Clients
Paul and Isaac represented Develomark at the Compass Wire Cloth Corporation's annual event this week, continuing a relationship that's included a full brand and logo refresh for the manufacturing company. Showing up in person for a client's own milestone events is something we try to prioritize whenever we can make it work.
Our cohort also visited Nonna Lucia's in Watertown, CT for lunch — one of the many Connecticut small businesses we've had the chance to work with. It's always a good day when client work and a good meal line up.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Connstep, and why does Develomark attend events like the CEO Summit?
Connstep is a Connecticut organization focused on supporting the state's manufacturing sector. Since manufacturing is one of our specialty verticals, staying connected to industry leaders and events like the CEO Summit helps us keep our strategy grounded in what's actually happening in the field.
What does Develomark's cohort program cover?
The cohort program is a hands-on training track where new team members learn real skills — from AEO and digital strategy to content, social media, and client communication — by working directly on live client accounts alongside our senior team.
How long does a website launch like GoodLooks Auto Spa's typically take?
It depends on scope, but most builds go through several rounds of design, development, and QA before launch, plus a final pass immediately after going live to catch anything that only shows up in a real-world environment. Typical Develomark websites and marketing campaigns can take from 8-12 weeks to launch.
Real Work, Every Week
