This page outlines the legal structure of working with Develomark. We’ve written it to be comprehensive, but we understand it can feel dense.

Here’s the simple version:

  • 12-month agreement to build and grow your marketing
  • Monthly billing, paid in advance
  • You own your accounts and assets
  • Website becomes fully yours after the agreement
  • After 12 months, you can continue or move month-to-month
  • 30-day notice to cancel after the initial term

Below are the most common questions we receive when reviewing proposals, pricing, and scope. These answers are designed to give you clear, direct insight into how our services work, what to expect, and how we structure our agreements so you can evaluate everything with full transparency.

  • 1. What’s included in the monthly fee vs. billed separately?

    Included in your retainer:


    • SEO strategy and ongoing optimization
    • Monthly SEO/AEO-focused website pages
    • Blog content creation for SEO/AEO
    • Google Ads and Meta Ads management
    • Image creation
    • Occasional video (based on strategy)
    • Reporting and account management

    Billed separately:


    • Ad spend (paid directly to Google, Meta, etc.)
    • Email platform fees (e.g., Mailchimp account) Email newsletters (monthly or quarterly)
    • Additional video production days
    • Photo shoots beyond standard scope
    • Any work outside the agreed scope

    Not included:


    Organic social media posting (we focus on paid ads only)

  • 2. What does the monthly investment cover?

    The monthly investment covers:


    • Website design or migration
    • Initial content creation
    • Technical SEO setup
    • Analytics, tracking, and pixel installation
    • Platform setup and onboarding
    • Photo and video 
    • Ongoing AEO/SEO content

    This investment is spread across Year 1 monthly payments, not paid upfront. 

  • 3. Will my retainer increase after Year 1?

    No.


    Your annual investment remains the same unless the scope changes.


    There are no automatic price increases.

  • 4. What happens to pricing in Year 2?

    Year 1 includes build + marketing. 


    Year 2 you will get an option to renew or service drops  to maintenance only, since the build is complete.


    Ongoing website management typically reduces to $199.99/month

  • 5. Are ad costs paid to platforms or to Develomark?

    Ad spend goes directly to Google, Meta, etc.


    You control the budget completely


    Typical ranges:


    Google Ads: $500 to $2,000+ per month

    Social Ads: $300 to $1,500+ per month


    Your retainer covers management, not the spend. Ad spend will be billed to your payment method on file.

  • 6. Is there a management fee on ad spend?

    Most clients: Ad management is included in the retainer within a reasonable budget range.

  • 7. What am I getting for $X per month?

    We break this down clearly by deliverables. Here's what your deliverables could look like.


    Example structure:


    • X SEO pages per month
    • X blog articles
    • X email newsletters
    • Ad management up to $X spend
    • Video/photo production (defined scope)
    • Monthly reporting
    • Strategy calls and account management 

    Anything outside this scope is quoted separately.

  • 8. Why is the price higher than expected?

    Our focus is on long-term revenue growth, not short-term tactics.


    What drives cost:


    • Custom website build
    • Ongoing content creation
    • SEO strategy (compounding over time)
    • Paid advertising management
    • Account management

    If needed, we:


    Adjust payment structure (monthly, quarterly)


    Keep scope intact


    Provide industry-specific references


    We do not reduce pricing by cutting what drives results.

  • 9. Can we reduce scope to fit a smaller budget?

    We can adjust ad spend timing, but not core SEO.


    SEO builds long-term, compounding traffic


    Ads are flexible and can scale up or down

  • 10. Do you offer tiered pricing?

    Not formally. 


    We build custom proposals based on your goals, not preset packages.


    Typical starting point:


    Around $12,500 annually


    Adjusted based on scope, industry, and competition

  • 11. How does your pricing compare to other agencies?

    Typical agency models:


    Hourly billing → unpredictable


    Project-based → large upfront cost


    Retainer + separate fees → multiple charges


    Our model:


    • Website build included in Year 1
    • Predictable monthly structure
    • Ad spend fully controlled by you
    • Lower cost in Year 2 (if no renewal)

  • 12. Do you offer a discount for annual prepayment?

    Standard structure is monthly payments


    No formal prepay discount currently


    If annual payment helps your budgeting, we can discuss options.

  • 1. Do I own my website?

    • During the initial 12-month agreement, the website is licensed to you.
    • After completing the agreement, the website is fully yours to keep.
    • If you cancel before the 12 months, you may be required to pay for the completed or partially completed work before transfer.
  • 2. Do I own my Google Ads account?

    Yes


    The account is created under your ownership and remains yours at all times

  • 3. Do I own my Google Business Profile?

    Yes


    You retain full ownership and control

  • 4. Do I own my Google Analytics and Search Console?

    Yes


    All tracking and data accounts are owned by you

  • 5. Do I own the content created for my business?

    Yes


    Content is licensed during the agreement


    Full ownership transfers to you after the contract is completed


    This includes text, documents, photos, videos, animations, footage, and anything Develomark created for you.

  • 6. What happens to my domain if I leave Develomark?

    You own your domain


    We only request access to manage it during the engagement

  • 7. If I leave the website platform, can I take my site with me?

    Yes


    The platform we use allows for clean and straightforward transfers

  • 8. Will my SEO rankings survive a website migration?

    Yes


    We preserve high-performing URLs based on traffic and search data to maintain as much ranking as possible

  • 9. Will I lose my ad history if we part ways?

    No


    Your ad account and all historical data remain yours

  • 10. Do you charge an exit or transfer fee?

    No standard exit fee


    If the agreement is ended early, there may be costs to complete outstanding work already in progress

  • 11. How does off-boarding work?

    You sign a simple exit document


    We transfer your website and provide all logins

  • 1. Who will be my account manager?

    You will be assigned a primary point of contact


    This is selected based on your goals, industry, and the type of work required

  • 2. Will Ruan M. Marinho be involved day-to-day?

    Involved at the start for onboarding and kickoff


    Not involved in daily communication

  • 3. How often will we have meetings?

    Onboarding phase: Weekly meetings


    Ongoing marketing: Monthly or quarterly meetings


    Most communication happens informally through:


    • Phone calls
    • Text messages
    • Email

  • 4. Who do I contact when something is urgent?

    Your assigned account manager

  • 5. What happens if my account manager leaves?

    You will be assigned a new point of contact


    You will also have the option to exit the agreement if needed

  • 6. How big is your team?

    11+ team members

  • 7. Who actually does the work?

    All work is handled by in-house staff


    No outsourcing to third-party contractors

  • 8. Can I meet the team working on my account?

    Yes, it is highly encouraged


    In-person onboarding meetings are standard

  • 9. Do you work in-person, remote, or hybrid?

    All three


    We adapt based on your preference and location

  • 10. What is your response time?

    Most responses are within 15 minutes, depending on priority


    We operate on a priority system from 0 -3:


    0. Urgent: Critical issues (e.g., website down)


    1.End of Day: Time-sensitive needs


    2. End of Week: Short-term initiatives


    3. Ongoing / End of Month: Non-urgent requests


    This ensures critical items are handled first while keeping all work progressing.

  • 1. How do SEO, ads, and the website work together?

    Marketing is holistic


    Leads can come from multiple channels


    How each piece functions:


    • Paid ads: Reach new audiences immediately
    • SEO: Captures existing demand through search
    • Website: Acts as your central source of truth

    Your website supports everything:


    All traffic is directed there


    Conversion happens there


    AI and search engines rely on it as the primary data source

  • 2. Will the retainer alone produce results without ads?

    Yes, it can


    SEO and content will generate traffic over time


    However:


    Results are slower without ads


    Paid media helps generate traffic immediately


    Best practice:


    Use ads to accelerate performance early


    Let SEO build long-term growth


    Budgets are flexible and can be scaled up and down at anytime.

  • 3. Why should I spend on ads if I'm already paying for marketing?

    SEO drives traffic, but it is not always consistent or scalable short-term


    Ads allow you to control volume and timing


    With ads:


    You pay platforms like Google and Meta directly


    They push your brand to targeted audiences


    You increase clicks and lead flow on demand


    Relying only on organic traffic:


    Slower growth


    Less predictable lead volume


    You can't grow waiting for people to look for you. 

  • 4. Why do you use Duda instead of WordPress/Wix/Squarespace?

    • Single, standardized platform.
    • Strong Core Web Vitals performance.
    • Better structured for modern SEO and AEO (AI-driven search).
    • Clients find it easier to manage themselves.
  • 5. Do you do organic social media posting?

    No, not at this time 


    We focus on paid social advertising, not organic posting

  • 6. Can I shift budget between SEO and ads month to month?

    SEO must remain consistent and active


    We do not recommend reducing SEO to fund ads


    However:


    Paid media is flexible


    Can be turned on or off based on seasonality


    Examples:


    Landscaping: Spring and summer focus


    Insulation: Fall and winter focus


    Some industries benefit from year-round advertising.

    Both should be used in conjunction.

  • 8. Do you handle email marketing?

    Yes


    You will need your own email platform (e.g., Mailchimp, your CRM platform)


    We manage strategy, content, and execution


    A healthy email cadence is once per month for most businesses. Seasonal businesses should send more.

  • 9. Do you offer video production?

    Yes


    Video is included in all marketing plans


    Additional production may be scoped separately (depending on travel, last minute, out of scope)

  • 10. Is content writing done in-house or outsourced?

    All content is created in-house


    Enhanced with AI tools for efficiency and scale


    We create everything for you, however we must interview you for most pieces of content. This is done in a normal scheduled cadence. 

  • 11. How do you approach AI search (AEO / Answer Engine Optimization)?

    We use your real business data to guide strategy:


    • Existing keyword rankings
    • Form submissions and lead data
    • Call recordings and transcripts
    • Ongoing client conversations

    From there:


    • Convert insights into AEO-optimized content
    • Publish directly on your website
    • Structure content for AI and search engines

    We also:


    • Track visibility across AI platforms
    • Use prompt management tools to monitor performance

    The goal is to ensure your business shows up in:


    • Search results
    • AI-generated answers
    • Voice and conversational queries

Contract terms

Below are the most common questions related to contracts, billing, and payment terms. These answers outline exactly how our agreements are structured so you understand the commitment, flexibility, and financial expectations upfront.

  • 1. What is the contract length?

    Standard agreement is 12 months


    After the initial term, you can:


    • Renew for continued marketing
    • Move to month-to-month
  • 2. Is there a cancellation clause?

    The initial 12-month agreement must be fulfilled


    If services are rendered, payment is required


    After the 12 months:


    You may cancel with proper notice

  • 3. What is the termination notice period?

    30 days written notice is required

  • 4. What is your billing cadence?

    Billing is monthly


    Payments are made in advance of services

  • 5. What payment methods do you accept?

    • Credit card
    • ACH (for payments over $10,000)
  • 6. Do you bill by the hour?

    No


    We operate on a deliverables and performance model, not hourly billing


    You are paying for:


    • Output
    • Strategy
    • Results
  • 7. When does the agreement officially start?

    The agreement begins once:


    • The contract is signed
    • The first payment is processed

    Work does not begin until both are completed

  • 8. What happens if I stop paying?

    • Services may be paused immediately
    • Work will not continue until payment is resolved
    • Outstanding balances may still be owed based on work completed
    • Deactivation of website hosting if invoices are overdue by 90 days.
    • Note: we are human beings and reasonably accomodate most situations but we expect good communication.
  • 9. Can I downgrade my services during the contract?

    Not typically during the initial 12-month term


    Scope is set to ensure results


    Adjustments may be discussed for advertising spend, but:


    Core services (like SEO) are not removed

  • 10. Will I need to sign a new contract after 12 months?

    For renewals, yes.


    If not a renewal, you will be Month-to-month.

  • 11. What happens to my website if I cancel?

    After completing the agreement:


    The website is yours, we transfer it to you and your own Duda account. 


    If canceled early:


    You may need to pay for completed work before transfer. 

  • 12. What happens if the scope changes mid-contract?

    Scope changes are:


    • Discussed
    • Approved
    • Documented

    They may result in:


    • Adjusted pricing
    • Updated deliverables
  • 13. What happens if I’m not satisfied?

    We address concerns through:


    • Strategy adjustments
    • Performance reviews
    • Clear communication

    After the initial term:


    You are free to discontinue services with notice. 


    We accomodate to the situation however, most of our clients see success. However success is not guaranteed.
